In May, the steel market will intensify the game in anticipation and reality. Only by further improving 

fundamentals and even exceeding expectations can we enhance market confidence and open up further 

space for steel prices. However, we need to be vigilant against short-selling funds in the financial market.

The risk of volatility that may accompany lowering.

In the medium and long term, as the nation’s steel prices are forced to become high in recent years, 

and the willingness of the downstream to purchase under the pressure of funds has weakened, the volume

of transactions in May is facing a downside risk. At the same time, the enthusiasm of the steel mills in the 

second quarter is high, and the output of key steel enterprises in the non-heating season will obviously rise. 

Once the production restriction measures in Xuzhou and other places are over, the fundamentals of supply 

and demand will be under pressure again, alerting steel prices to rise and fall. Pre-holiday terminal still has 

stocking sentiment. Market sentiment is relatively good and stocks are low. 

Therefore, all regions show more obvious reluctance to sell goods, and prices have gradually increased. For 

the post-holiday period, environmental protection first suppressed output, followed by low inventory support 

prices, and finally, from the trading volume in the days before the holiday, demand overdraft was not yet found.

It is expected that domestic steel prices will continue to rise after the holiday.
